June 30 Day 1 and 2 of our 2009 summer vacationWell, it was a fun-filled weekend to start off our vacation. We are in Washington DC this morning. Getting ready to go see the sights.
We left Des Moines at 10pm Friday night and drove through the night arriving in Cleveland at about 10am, adding an additional hour for entering the eastern time zone. Here's a pic of the sunrise from the highway.
 After driving around the city a bit we attempted to check in to our hotel about 11am. They didn't have a room ready yet, but they got housekeeping right on it, and we only had to wait about thirty minutes longer. The maid was just finishing up as we entered our room. Gave us some extra towels and I tipped her $10.
We grabbed some lunch and drove downtown to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame where we purchased "Hall Passes" that admit you to the Rock-n-Roll and Pro Football Hall of Fame at a discounted rate. I havta say I wasn't as impressed with the Rock-n-Roll HOF as much as I thought I would be. It was cool and all, but it was pretty dark throughout. A little more lighting would've been better IMO. Probably had something to do with the "no photography" rule which really pissed me off. Plus they had employees standing around everywhere watching for anyone taking pics with their cell phones. I was able to snap a couple with my phone but not the ones I wanted...like the Rolling Stones exhibit which was pretty cool. They had the actual outfits worn by Mick Jagger at two of their 70's concerts and the "Tattoo You" tour in 1981. Seeing the "Tattoo You" tour from the front row in Seattle's Kingdome in '81...looking at Mick's outfit and the british/american flag cape he wore brought back some fond memories.

       Then it was on to Canton, Ohio and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I shot tons of pics and video here as it was allowed. This place was awesome!
  We were given three free tickets to the HOF that are good till the end of the year in order to see a new exhibit and wing they are opening up next month. I think I'll send'em to the Francke family as they are huge Kansas City Chiefs fans. I know Grayson would appreciate the gesture.

Outa time for now. Will post more tonight. We took beautiful back roads from Canton to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh was gorgeous and reminded me a lot of Portland. We drove into downtown driving across a bridge that made me feel like I was driving across the Morrison Bridge into downtown Portland. We drove to Heinz field, home of the world champion Steelers to snap pics, and we were very surprised when a security guard let us into the stadium to snap more pics.

June 25 2009 Summer Vacation Has ArrivedWow! That was a quick two months since I first mentioned going on this vacation. The time has arrived...well almost. We leave tomorrow night and I can't wait. All the hotel rooms are reserved and paid for in advance and our trip itinerary was completed 2-3 weeks ago. Quite a change from our normal routine in planning out road trips, which are often done spontaneously.
Shelly and I were just talking the other night about how a trip like this would not have been possible if we were still living in Oregon. Too far to drive. It reminded us of when we learned that we were going to have to move away from Oregon if Shelly wanted to keep her job at Qwest. The choices were Boise, Idaho, Denver, CO and Des Moines, IA. I suggested Des Moines because it was the furthest away from Oregon. Haha! Actually, having Qwest pay us $5,000 to move to Iowa was a nice chunk of change that afforded us a nice vacation/road trip to get here, and besides, neither of us had been to the midwest. I researched Des Moines and it seemed like it had a lot to offer.
I remember telling Shelly we may end up looking back on the Des Moines decision as one of the best decisions we ever made, and it has proven to be so. Our quality of life has improved significantly, and frankly, we are doing better here financially then we have ever done in our lives. In the three years we have been here we have seen parts of the country that we haven't seen before, and had a blast doing it. This upcoming New York adventure will be a nice capper to the other road trips we've had.
I can look back now and honestly say that everyone we knew and associated with in Oregon was dragging us down. Oregon itself was dragging us down. Boy how I could elaborate on all that. Sometimes it's best to just distance yourself from the "what can you do for me" types of people or a state that is run so poorly that it affords it's citizens little opportunity to get ahead.
Anyway, I haven't spent much time on the computer this past week. Been extremely hot here in Iowa. Temps in the mid to high 90's with a heat index of 105-110 every day. That kind of heat just exhausts the hell out of me and I have to head to a lake or a river. I hate swimming pools. It even taxed our air conditioner and I had to have our landlord get it recharged.
Speaking of air conditioning...Shelly and I bought our PT Cruisers in Oregon and didn't feel we needed AC in our cars. I mean really, it probably gets hot enough for car AC in Portland about 2-3 weeks total each year if that, and I'm more the type of guy who likes to drive with the windows down blaring my rock-n roll. We have seriously considered trading in one of our cars for one with AC, but with Chrysler going bankrupt, well, probably would've lost too much money on the deal. So we're kinda stuck with our cruisers, but it's all good. Both cars have performed like champs and we are very happy with them. Only a couple more years of payments, and to think Kevin Francke tried to discourage me from buying new and incurring that much debt. Buying those cars was one of the smartest things we did, all things considered. Glad I paid him no mind.
So, the next ten days should prove fun and interesting. I'll have my laptop with me and plan to share some of the highlights of our trip each night with some pics and a little commentary. June 18 Court finds convicts have no right to test DNACourt finds convicts have no right to test DNA - Yahoo! News Nothing like a recent Supreme Court decision to support the claims I made recently with regard to the Innocence Project and the appellate process. By MARK SHERMAN, Associated Press Writer Mark Sherman, Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court said Thursday that convicts have no constitutional right to test DNA evidence in hopes of proving their innocence long after they were found guilty of a crime. The decision may have limited impact because the federal government and 47 states already have laws that allow convicts some access to genetic evidence. Testing so far has led to the exoneration of 240 people who had been found guilty of murder, rape and other violent crimes, according to the Innocence Project. The court ruled 5-4, with its conservative justices in the majority, against an Alaska man who was convicted in a brutal attack on a prostitute 16 years ago. William Osborne won a federal appeals court ruling granting him access to a blue condom that was used during the attack. Osborne argued that testing its contents would firmly establish his innocence or guilt. In parole proceedings, however, Osborne has admitted his guilt in a separate bid for release from prison. The high court reversed the ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. States already are dealing with the challenges and opportunities presented by advances in genetic testing, Chief Justice John Roberts said in his majority opinion. "To suddenly constitutionalize this area would short-circuit what looks to be a prompt and considered legislative response," Roberts said. Alaska, Massachusetts and Oklahoma are the only states without DNA testing laws. In some other states, the laws limit testing to capital crimes or rule out after-the-fact tests for people who confess. But Justice John Paul Stevens said in dissent that a simple test would settle the matter. "The court today blesses the state's arbitrary denial of the evidence Osborne seeks," Stevens said. Peter Neufeld, a co-founder of The Innocence Project who argued Osborne's case at the Supreme Court, said he was disappointed with the ruling. "There is no question that a small group of innocent people — and it is a small group — will languish in prison because they can't get access to the evidence," Neufeld said. The Innocence Project helps free wrongly convicted prisoners. The woman in Alaska was raped, beaten with an ax handle, shot in the head and left for dead in a snow bank near Anchorage International Airport. The condom that was found nearby was used in the assault, the woman said. The woman identified Osborne as one of her attackers. Another man also convicted in the attack has repeatedly incriminated him. Osborne himself described the assault in detail when he admitted his guilt under oath to the parole board in 2004. Osborne's lawyer passed up advanced DNA testing at the time of his trial, fearing it could conclusively link him to the crime. A less-refined test by the state showed that the semen did not belong to other suspects, but could be from Osborne, as well as about 15 percent of all African-American men. Osborne is awaiting sentencing on another conviction, a robbery he committed after his parole. The case is District Attorney's Office v. Osborne, 08-6.
This case is a perfect example of the types of cases the Innocence Project attracts. Anything with DNA that might exonerate the client, even if the client has described the crime in detail and confessed under oath at a parole hearing. Tackling a tough case like Frank's with no DNA is not what they're about. Let's face it, anyone with a law degree could go through the motions and let DNA save the day in the end.Unfortunately, this particular motion didn't go over well with the Supreme Court, and as for having limited impact...tell that to anyone in the federal appeals process who is trying to get access to DNA evidence (or simply evidence of any kind), and wants to use it in their appeal. The Court has shut down that option with this ruling, specifically for anyone who has exhausted their state appeals, and who might have obtained DNA that could clear their name.I just don't understand that. It should be a constitutional right to have a new technology like DNA accepted at any point in the appellate process. After all, isn't the truth what's important? Apparently not. It's all just a game. It really is! Do you think this lawyer cared about the truth more than winning their case?June 12 Update On Frank's Resentencing ArgumentI made an inquiry this past week on the status of Frank's lingering state appeal with regard to the resentencing issue. My last inquiry was on March 24 and was told "The transcript has been filed and I have a brief due in a few weeks."
My recent inquiry garnered the following response..
"The transcript was filed only about six weeks ago. I am working on his case now."
Ok, yeah I know, six weeks ago would be around the last week of April. A miscalculation or was the transcript actually filed near the end of April and not at the end of March?
I decided to ask because back in March I was told to "feel free to ask."

Ummm...ok. Maybe it's just me but that last sentence kinda left me feeling like I'm not so free to ask anymore. I mean whatever, so he filed the transcript in late April. Maybe he spoke ahead of himself in March. No big deal.
I remember once talking to David Celuch I think it was, the lawyer who originally argued the resentencing assignment, and being told he was under no obligation to tell me anything related to Frank's case because I'm not a family member and don't possess power of attorney for Frank. Hey, I've never asked about anything that woudn't be available under the FOI act.
I actually laughed recalling how Frank gave power of attorney to some woman named Julie Smith who was working on obtaining her PI license and took it upon herself to go visit Frank in Florida in December of 2004. Within a couple of months of that first visit Frank had given her POA. Did I mention she struck up a romantic relationship with Frank as well? Ah, tits and ass. What I could accomplish with that. LOL! No offense to any ladies out there. Just a little sarcastic humor.
Julie Smith would be a chapter in my book if I ever wrote one. Interesting story. She's the woman who obtained Shorty's address for me by running a DMV check. Phil and Kevin played her (or me haha) by being cordial with her and telling me behind her back that they didn't know what her angle was, didn't trust her, and thought she was just one of those convict groupies. Her relationship with Frank didn't last a year and she's all but disappeared. Address and phone number required by all PI's to submit publically are outdated. Might have become current since the last time I checked a few months back. Not important enough to me to bother to check again, but if anyone else wants to I'd be obliged.
Julie was also of Native American descent. Cozied up to Frank's sister Francine real fast. When I had my domestic with my wife she was one primarily responsible for passing immediate judgement on me and painting the picture of me as an OJ looking for a place to happen in her conversations with Francine. Told me so herself later. That led to Francine asking Julie to draw up some worthless legal document threatening legal action against me if I didn't discontinue my website activities. Remember, neither of these woman had spoken to me about my domestic incident prior to this. I just laughed it off.
The last time I heard from her she told me she had tried some meth for the first time the night before and that she had the most fun she'd had in years. LOL! Go figure! Oh yeah, she was also working toward getting hired by SAIF as an investigator. Yeah, the Julie Smith chapter was one of the first interesting peculiarities I encountered.
Anyway, back to this appeal thing...pretty safe to assume with his new info that we won't be hearing about any decision until at least the first part of next year, and it could easily linger well into the latter part of next year before an actual decision on whether or not Frank gets a resentencing hearing. If he does it will be another year before that takes place and when and if it does a new panel of jurors will simply decide on two choices. Life with the possibility of parole or death.
If Frank were to get "life with" he'd be about a year away from being eligible for parole. With his record alone he'd get dumped to his next parole date, and maybe the next. That's about another 2-4 years.
No hurry really on any of this I suppose. The eligibility dates are what they are if he becomes eligible. But, Frank's case can't proceed to the federal level until this resentencing issue is resolved. For someone who wants to be exonerated, Frank will probably end up delaying his case from reaching the fed level by about 3-4 years, and the fed level is his only chance of being exonerated.
June 11 Rolling Stones Saxophonist Bobby Keys Plays West Des Moines, IowaQuick note to some site visitors...I'll be answering some of your emails soon. Been busy with quite a few different things.
One of those things was a "dream come true" for me last night at the Blue Moon Dueling Piano Bar and Restaurant in West Des Moines. Bobby Keys played a one-time gig there last night with a Stones cover band. Being the Stones fan that I am I wouldn't have missed this gig for the world. Keyes has been termed the 6th Stone by many and I couldn't agree more.
Biography...
Best-known for his long association with the Rolling Stones, tenor saxophonist Bobby Keys spent several decades as an in-demand session man and touring musician, able to play blues, R&B, and rock & roll with equal flair. Born and raised in Texas, Keys was playing in rock & roll bands as early as the '50s, and worked with Buddy Holly and Bobby Vee, among many others.
Keys worked regularly at the famed Muscle Shoals studios in Alabama before meeting the Stones in 1969; his work on Let It Bleed (not to mention the simple fact of association) quickly made him a hot property. Over the next few years, Keys played on albums by George Harrison (All Things Must Pass), Delaney & Bonnie, Eric Clapton, Humble Pie, the Faces, Carly Simon, Nilsson, Joe Cocker, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and B.B. King.
He also continued his relationship with the Stones, appearing on classics like Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street, and striking up an instant chemistry with Keith Richards.
In 1972, Keys recorded a self-titled solo album for Warner Bros., which featured an all-star guest lineup including members of the Beatles, Cream, Mountain, and Traffic, plus his longtime trumpet-playing partner Jim Price. By the mid-'70s, his activities with the Stones were beginning to tail off, though he maintained a working relationship with the band over the years, both in the studio and on the road. He continued to find work through his old connections, and in 1979 joined Ron Wood's touring band the New Barbarians. In more recent years, Keys has continued to tour with the Stones and guest on the occasional album (including Sheryl Crow's The Globe Sessions), and also performed with the Lubbock, TX-based band the Ace Liquidators.
I snapped quite a few pics and shot video of 4-5 songs. I haven't had as much fun as I had last night since I can't remember. It was an awesome experience! I got to shake hands and chat with Bobby personally for about 15 minutes, talking Stones talk and him sharing a couple of adventures he's had with Keith Richards over the years. I'm not a drinker, but I had a blast last night getting drunk and rockin out with some of the coolest Stones fans I've ever met.
Here's my favorite video I shot. The song is Brown Sugar and it was at the end of the gig. I was pretty tipsy by this time as you might notice from my ability to steady the camera. I did pretty good actually. Especially when I walked my happy ass right up in front of Bobby during his solo. More later. Gotta get to work.

At about 4:20 p.m., authorities said they received a 911 call that a man, who was bleeding and armed with a knife, was standing in the parking lot of the Northridge Condos at 12600 SE Freeman Way.
When officers arrived, they were confronted by the man in the parking lot, police said.
The officers said they clearly communicated to the man to drop the knife, but he ignored their demand. Police said the officers feared for their safety and shot the man, killing him.
Is this Fox12 coverage biased or spot on? I mean, if it's true the officers just communicated to the man holding the knife to drop the weapon, then shot and killed him when he simply failed to comply, that's bullshit! Like a couple of cowboys playing Johnny judge, jury and executioners on the spot for some paid summer administrative leave (vacation).
Did the guy make any attacking gestures toward the cops or did they simply fear for their lives because some guy is standing before them bleeding, with a knife in his hand? Maybe this guy was bleeding because he was just attacked himself and needed the officer's help.
Reporting like this really irritates me. There was another Fox12 story the other day about the mobile car mechanic who allegedly had thousands of dollars of tools stolen from his 1987 Honda. The same Honda that had a stereo stolen from it a few days earlier. If you just had your car stereo stolen from your car, why leave thousands of dollars of tools in that car? Any car mechanic knows a 1987 Honda is a prime candidate for being stolen period!
So I guess if you're stupid Fox12 will run your story. What's the purpose? Hoping some good samaritans will buy this idiot some new tools due to his misfortune?

UPDATE 6-4-09: Milwaukie man's death ruled suicide
Jesse Weatherford, 22, was fatally shot in the chest by two police officers on Tuesday night but state medical examiner Dr. Larry Lewman has ruled his death a suicide.
The gunshots killed him but his death was a suicide, Lewman said.

I took it as positive reinforcement that I must be doing something right. The bigger the threat, the bigger the retribution, just let me know I was on the right track. 2005's been a banner year; dead roses on the doorstep, letters suggesting my kids were next and some other doozies. Lots of positive reinforcement, so we must be doing something right.
We mustn't concede this matter to fear as too many others have in the past. That is what created this penal colony called Salem in the first place. We have to make that next leap to the next level, and it is going to take all of us here, and all who are waiting for "somebody else to do it" to just DO IT!
(Note from Rob: Ok, I get it now. It played well with his "We mustn't concede this matter to fear as too many others have in the past" comment that followed. The brave Kevin Francke insinuating to others that even in 2005 he was still getting threats. Hell, I was the one in 2005 making such a stink in the Francke case with the Shorty interview. Nobody was threatening me or Shorty. Sounds about as ridiculous as Phil Stanford's death threat in the wake of his Jack Rowlands the snitch columns. Haha!)
Of all the people who should lay low, Frank should. They have him in a fishbowl and can do whatever they want, whenever they want. He has not conceded the fight, nor will I.
Let's move forward and not get bogged down. Put up, or shut up, as they say.

It was at Union Street Pizza and Union and 12th, RS. Grauce Caudhill set it up(the gal back on the pictures page on this site with McAlister).

The party was said to have been for Bill Bertram who was McAlister's only investigator at the AG's office. Lot of dead folks in this deal. Smilin' Al Chandler was there, along with Kennicott, chief of security, and other DOC and AG folks. I'm completely with you on the Meg Hansen thing too! We need to pool our efforts & help her identify this guy!
As to JR....I think his daddy jacked off in a flower pot too...& raised a "Blooming Idiot!" Have you ever noticed that him & Rhonda Weber always seem to have something either totally stupid or totally wrong when they post & it's nearly always about the same time. Another thing they both do that pisses me off is accusations they seem to do a lot of....aimed at various people. They seem to think that there is some sort of corruption hidden under every fucking rock near who every they happen to be targeting at the time.
I post things sometimes to them & maybe throw them a "Good Boy" or "Good Girl" bone for the sole purpose of controling them. You probably have already picked up on this & can see that I now have them in a frame of mind that I am changing their attitudes towards trying to be nicer, if in fact they feel that they "Must Post Here!" We don't need more assholes coming in here & causing hate & discontent! Between you & I....I would be VERY happy if rw, JR, LG, Jasmin & maybe RD NEVER came here & posted ever again.

Here's a little different kind of news but keep in quiet for now. DP called me early this morning & said that he shot & killed a sandnigger in Iraq yesterday. He said he saw the guy in the top floor of a 3 story building in a large window & used his rifle scope to check the guy out. The guy had a small telescope & a cell phone in his hand & was VERY interested in the convoy that DP was in. DP was traveling from one satellite site to another to do some work for the military.
After he shot the motherfucker, the Army cleared the whole area & an Army Major picked up the cell phone that the sandnigger had in his hand...& pushed "Send" & 6 IED's (Roadside Bombs) blew up. The Army CID's & MP's said that the bombs would have killed as many as 15 soldiers. So about 20 GI's all bought DP a case of beer each for saving their lives. DP took all 20 cases of beer & threw a party but when I talked to him...he sounded like he drank ALL 20 cases by himself!
He was all fucked up & said he had a really bad headache. He also said that since nobody but the sandnigger got killed or hurt that the government probably won't clear it to be released to the news media for awhile. DP said he took a lot of pictures of the sandnigger & the area mainly because the sandnigger might have a "Dead or Alive" reward on his head from the US Government.
There was no ID or paperwork on the motherfucker. Some of those assholes have anywhere from $5,000,000.00 to a $25,000,000.00 price on their heads. DP also said that if he gets a big reward that we...& about a thousand of our closest friends are going to the Bahama's for an "All Expence Paid" vacation. So that means...for sure...me, DP, you & your family, Kevin & his family might need to start packing for a two week trip to some really warm weather! Are you game for that?

I have access to software through DP & we tracked it to Mathis Texas...about 2 blocks from Lake Corpus Christie. When DP gets back...I can get him to get you a hard address. Lots of years ago when a few Oregon laws got changed...I wasn't able to buy reagent P2P anymore...but I could everything else without leaving a trail. I was told by Ben Thomlinson & Norm Normile...both former OSP inmates that it could be had for a price through Coyote Chemical. I declined for several reasons. I knew several other cooks that had cooked for years without getting busted...then did business with Coyote Chemical & shortly there after....got busted.
His reagent P2P was going for as little as $200.00 for 500 mils & would produce a pound....2 pounds if you cut it 1 to 1....worth about $20,000.00 wholesale when finished. Everybodies credit was good with Coyote Chemical! Think about it...what could someone (Cops) use to attract just meth cooks? Very damn few of us actually knew how to make P2P.
I'm skilled in 11 different ways to make reagent P2P using 1 of three different types of acitate (Lead, Sodium & Potasium) all based on phynelacidic acid. Thats just like the P2P that Russ Parker here in Salem was trying to sell to all of the local cooks. 15 cooks paid for it but only one of them actually received it...Gary Tull...& the cops shot & killed him during the bust. The other 14 got raided & busted for having precursers, glassware & several of the other chemicals needed to make it.
Louis Glass is a WELL KNOWN SNITCH & no body connected to her can ever be trusted either! I actually know people that will pay good money for her address. I'm not getting involved with anything connected to her....ever!
I also knew about JR attempting to blow up Polk County court house...in fact...the hole he drilled are still there.

As to clearing Tim's name...that would take a lot of fucking work! I can't account for his actual whereabouts on the actual night of the murder. I thought I could until Kevin clued me in on the time line...I was off by one day. I related both of our whereabouts based on the morning we heard about the murder on the news...then worked backwards...thinking that the first news broadcast happened on the 19th. Actually it was broadcasted on the 20th....so I can account for Tim on the 18th, 19th & 20th...but not the 17th.
A lot of people saw Tim as a stone cold asshole & to them...he probably was! But to DP & I he was just another one of the neighborhood kids that liked to camp & ride dirt bikes with us & was basically a pretty good kid. The three of us never ever had any bad words or feelings between us...even as adults.
The only part I'm sticking to is that his z car was in my possession in my shop long before Franke was murdered & for months afterwards. Also...the fact that Tim was in fact with me all night before the morning he was shot.
Other than that...I don't feel a need to defend his actions any further than that. Anything bad that someone says about him past what I have said...may very well be true.

I got to know Bill really well while doing a short 90 day stretch in Marion County Jail for drop kicking a cop in the teeth during a drug raid. I didn't mean to but the basterds kicked in a door just 4 feet from where I was sleeping. I didn't realize what I had done until a few moments later.
Bill was in for something to do with a meth lab...I don't remember what the actual charges were. Seems like he got pulled over at 3:00am in his loud exhaust Camaro right after he had left the lab, had a bottle of p2p in his jacket pocket & smelled really "Propie." Bill has learned a lot & grown up a lot over the years. Bill is NOT a rat. If you want something from him...just ask & he'll probably give it to you. But if someone tries to force it out of him by threats or violance...he'll stand his ground & fight til death. Bill Storm is as solid as they come!
The last time I saw Bill was about 7 or 8 years ago...right after he got out of the joint. He came out to my farm in the country to visit for awhile...nothing connected to the Francke murder. If you have specific information you need about Bill...just ask & I'll see what I can do.
Dennis Gause was also in MCJ the same time Bill & I were. I don't know a lot about Dennis but we did hang out for a while. We were banging the same chick (Diane Bell) for awhile & often laughed about it. Dennis is also a solid dude & has been the whole time that I knew him.

Curtis & I were in the same drug treatment group for about two years so we were pretty close. I remember when he did his "First Step" he talked a lot about how he got there but I don't remember anything ever being said about OSP or corruption. Former inmates were always telling me about him & that if you needed anything brought into OPS...he used to be the guy that could get it in for you. Curtis never shared any of that with me. Some or most of this stuff could be rumors or made up...or maybe its all true? ? ?
Enough about names for now. I've seen where Meg Hansen's name has appeared a few times but the truth is...I don't know anything about her or her story. Can you direct me to the link/s where I can read up on what she has had to say? Also what was her part in all of this & how did she come across her story?
There are a couple that I met years ago that claimed to know everything about the murder & what little info I was able to gather seemed to be real. Their names were Leon Sullens & Dawnelle Hays. Leon looks either korean or japaneese, about 5'8" w/ long 15" or so black hair. Dawnelle or Dee is about 5'10" with long Red hair. I later found out that they were both rats for a local cop named Randy Hicks...& evidently had been for 5 or 6 years.
Both of their names are well known in the joint because of their snitch activity. These two are the worst kind of snitches...they not only snitch people of but they lie & even plant evidence to make themselves look better. I just bet they were instructed to do that by Randy Hicks...He's the crooked cop type!
LG posted something this morning about "The Looney Toons" are back on your site...meaning JR, Jeanette with her dream & RW. She's right! If I were you...I would NOT let those three post anything unless it gets sent to YOU first for approval & maybe a lot of editing!

Spier has been a topic lately of some of my posts, and played an integral part in some of the issues I've been addressing.
In the past five years many people have contacted me through email. Some with legitimate knowledge and contributions, and some not. In nearly all cases, time has been the one main factor in helping to determine if their intentions were sincere and honorable or if they might've had ulterior motives of some sort.
As time permits, I plan to eventually post all of the emails I've received from various people whose intentions I've determined were other than honorable. These emails will be posted in the website message forum and I will provide links here in the blog as I get them posted.

 July 10, 1955 - July 2, 2003 SALEM - Memorial service: 8 p.m. today, July 4 at 3305 Portland Rd NE Space G. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. Also there might be another player involved named Marie Wagner. Tim N's car was seen early on the 17th of Jan. 1989 parked in her driveway on 25th street near State Street. A few hours later it was seen again...still in the driveway but Marie's car was gone & the lights inside her house were off suggesting that her & Tim may have been gone somewhere together in Marie's car. This would have been between 5:00pm on the 17th & maybe as late as 2:00am on the 18th. Sometime after Tim's death, Marie was found in a ditch north of here near St Louis Ponds or something to that nature, with 7 .357 bullets in her brain. Her killer has never been found & I really don't think anyone is looking either. I remember seeing her obituary & picture in the Statesman Journal but I wasn't able to pull it up on a search.
This information may not amount to anything, but if you & Kevin are sure that Tim had something to do with Michael Franke's murder then you will have to include Marie Wagner in your investigation because it was me that saw Tim's car the first time & Dr. Bob & I that saw it there several hours later. Here's the Fucked Up part about all of this...I have never brought any of this up before to anyone because I can't prove it, except by just my word. Tim N, Marie Wagner & Dr. Bob are all dead.
If Tim had a female partner in this...it wasn't Jodie Swearinger, It would have been Marie Wagner & Marie had the balls to do it. She was always a bold, crazy bitch with an attitude & a bad dope habit. She & Tim both collected knives & often traded each other for dope or pussy or what ever.
All I ask is don't post any of this on your site. You & Kevin need to keep this to yourself & confirm it with death records & maybe meet with me for the rest of the finer details.

In my reponse I asked Ron if he was related to Mike Spier and received the following reply...
I was wondering when someone was going to get around to asking me if I was related to Mike Spear. This is a really long story but I'll try & keep it short. Mike Spear's real name is "James Michael Spear" & mine is "James Ronald Spier." We used to look a lot alike, we were about the same age, we knew all of the same people, & both of us were tought how to cook dope by the same (Bob Horton "The Wizzard") Guy. But for a lot of years we never knew each other until just before the Franke Murder...we met at Marie Wagner's house one night. He & Candy were in town for a few days & were visiting Marie. He & I talked shop for about 15 hours straight. That was the same night that I told Mike about a bi-product that I was getting in the last few months when I made P2P with lead acitate. This crap was emmitting at about 203 degrees F, then would clear up when I was pulling the P2P across the Allen Condenser under vaccume. I had it analized & found out that it was a dybenziel keytone bi-product that causes cancer. Later I found out that DEA had a sub chemical added to the phynel acidic acid to cause dope cooks medical problems. Mike & Bob noticed it while making P2P but never paid any attention to it. When I noticed it...I would trap it in another flask, then at 203 degrees F, I would switch back to the first (P2P) flask & finish the reaction. Long Story Short... In Bob's career as a cook...he only tought 12 people how to cook as good as he was. Of those 12 people...I'm the only one still living. Bob Horton, Mike Spear & the other 11 cooks...ALL died of brain cancer with in five years of each other. The only reason I'm still alive is because I took the time to find out what was happening, have it checked & do something about it. Actually...I stopped using lead acitate & switched to potasium acitate about that same period of time so I could have better control during the P2P reaction...plus it produced cleaner dope. It had a few more steps & took more time but it was worth it....in the long run. I ran pretty hard for another couple of years until I got my farm & beach house paid off then I just got out of it all together. For a lot of years...no one ever knew who I was or what I did & Bob went to a lot of trouble to keep it that way. He used to say that I would always be his "Secret Ace in the Hole." A couple of times over the years...he had got busted for either cooking or fights or what ever & no matter how much the bail was...he could always call me, I would fly in & bail him out for cash then he would just skip out & never go in that area ever again. He cost me $40,000.00 cash one time for stabbing a nigger in the leg & pushing him off a roof. Bob was always a good & loyal friend. He never left me hanging....ever! Nor did I him! So thats my story & I'm sticking to it! Oh...Of all of us cooks....Mike Spear was the last one to die....in California just a few years ago. So anyway...I cleaned up my act & I haven't done ANY drugs or even booz for over 14 years now. Life is GOOD! ! ! ! !
In my 35 plus years in Oregon I have traveled thru a lot of circles, met a lot of people & have learned a lot about a lot of different things that go on around here. When & if I should ever have....for what ever reason...to share any of my wealth of information, I have always made sure that I tell the whole truth from start to finish.
I may not know the whole story but I'll certainly tell the truth about all that I do know. We ALL have been hearing about Tim N, his Z car, his whereabouts, his possible involvement, all the different people that keep thinking & saying they know this & that & he did this or that. All of this info has been stored in my head all of these years & it just finally came to a fucking head over Tim's Z car & it's whereabouts during the murder.
The Z car was in MY fucking shop LONG before the murder & LONG after the murder. I just couldn't take the bullshit lies anymore so here I am...Just Bigger Than Shit...With The Whole Truth...& Now An Attitude.
I'm meeting Kevin tomorrow so I can begin telling him all that I know. Kevin has done an extremely GREAT job gathering information...a lot better that I EVER thought he would but a lot of his info isn't quite the whole truth. He got the jist of it okay but was lied to either on some or most of it. I'm not sure if I have anything completely new for him but I'm sure I can refine most of what he already has into the pure truth. I never knew that some of his info was tarnished until recently or I would have contacted him years ago. But on a scale of 1 to 10 for gathering facts, althou somewhat tarnished with tweek lies...he's right up there.
Tweeks have this uncontrolable desire to try & tell a complete story when they only ever had a very small piece of it...so they tend to make up a lot of parts & pieces to fill in the blanks & bring the listener up to todays date which clouds or will mask the actual true facts especially if they are being paid to tell the story....kinda like Shorty & Jodie. I believe this is what has been happening to you & Kevin for a very long time. It will take a few get-togethers to sort this out & get back to the facts that are really true & correct & kick out all of the bullshit but it will be worth it for all of us. I don't have the whole story on all players from start to finish....no body does!
But at least I'll tell the whole truth & ALL that I know as best as I can remember & produce proof as often as I can. As to the parts that are missing...we'll just have to try & figure out how it went down the best we can. All we can do is our best & try & keep a positive attitude. Keep in mind that through all of this...& during the next few weeks or months...you & Kevin are going to discover that you have been purposely lied to many times...over & over by people you thought were being honest. You are both probably already aware of it but if it were me...I would keep it to myself until this is all over or until it serves my needs at a later date. I'm all for investigating but lets investigate smart & exployer all angles & motives. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

As the webmaster of freefrankgable.com it’s my opinion he has ignored more leads in the past four years than any he has developed himself in well over a decade. Since the release of that movie in 1996 to be precise, and as Jodie Swearingen told me recently after watching it for the first time, “it’s ridiculous, and just glorifies Kevin.”Phil essentially disappeared from the Francke spotlight for nearly a decade after the release of that movie. His first Francke related column after joining the Trib in 2001 wasn’t until 2004, during the time the Goldschmidt story was breaking.His “Francke page” on his new website lists eight links to the Trib of Francke related material between 2004-2006. Pretty much the bulk of his Francke related work in the eight years he was at the Trib. One link is to the Jim Redden article of his interview with Shorty Harden. You know, the article that made it clear that the Trib doesn’t pay people for interviews, then reported I paid Shorty Harden $1,000, and quoted me saying the money came from the Francke brothers.Why quote me to report that fact? I’ll admit I was naïve at that time by trusting Phil and the Franckes’ that we were doing the right thing by giving money to Shorty for that interview, but they should’ve known better. Do any of you think it was the right thing to do?Phil and I have reached an impasse of sorts it seems over my desire to review the trial transcript of Liz Godlove for the murder of Tim Natividad two weeks after the Francke murder. Natividad being the person Phil and Kevin Francke have been pushing for years as the guy who really stabbed Francke. She was a meth-head who was tried and acquitted a mere five months later with a domestic self-defense argument with no-one else to corroborate her story. That had to be one of the greatest legal victories for a defendant in Marion County in years! I would’ve framed the transcript myself, yet the Franckes’ claim they have no copy and it was never preserved because Liz was acquitted. Jack, you’re a lawyer, what say you on that?If the transcript was never preserved, and as Kevin claims, he was only allowed to read a portion of the transcript which contained testimony from Liz, how was that enough to convince him (and Phil apparently) that she was being truthful? Not to mention marrying her! Lotsa peculiarities. Then there’s the hypnosis Jodie did for Phil where she said she thinks Vince Taylor killed Natividad. Jodie confirmed that again recently in a text message she sent me. Shorty told me recently Vince Taylor is Liz’s cousin. Can’t get anyone to confirm that. Did Liz take the fall for her cousin? Did the prosecution throw the case? They obviously didn’t buy Liz’s self-defense argument or they would’ve dropped the charges. How did they lose this one? |
